![]() If you listen to a lot of music on your drive, you will appreciate the Bose speakers, which are great. The LTZ came with pretty much every available option. Ok, enough about that, let's move on to the rest of the vehicle. This would only be a surprise to people who have not taken the time to read the manual, because on page 212 of the owners manual, it states clearly that "Going less than 35mph, push the accelerator pedal halfway down", if going 35mph hour or more, push the accelerator all the way down". The other thing that is somewhat amusing is that reviews have mentioned that in terms of harder acceleration on the Trax, you really need to "stand on the pedal" for maximum acceleration. I do believe that the 6-speed transmission on the Trax makes a big difference in terms of gearing, while the CVT seemed to constantly struggle to find the right gear. The Honda also had CVT (continuous variable transmission) and was a 5-speed, where the Trax does not have CVT and has a 6-speed transmission. The Civic always felt like it had a "piano on it's back" so to speak, regardless of whether it was driving up a hill or on level ground. My previous vehicle, a Honda Civic EX-L, which actually had slightly more HP (1.8L In-Line 4) than the Trax (1.4L In-Line 4), couldn't touch the acceleration of the Trax. The engine on this vehicle handles it like a champ! I can pass other vehicles with relative ease, acceleration is more than adequate, and the engine never feels like it's struggling. I live in … the mountains of Colorado, and a large portion of my commute to work consists of high altitude driving, including inclines with a 6% grade or higher. My experience so far could not have been more different. I’m not sure why it doesn’t hole a Bluetooth connection.A lot of car for the money! Bought my 2016 Trax LTZ "Midnight Edition" while Chevy was running a promotion offering 16% off sticker price, so I saved over $4500! First thing I want to address is the engine, which both professional reviewers and others have listed as "sluggish", "slow", "tepid" etc., you get the idea. Bluetooth is iffy! I have an iPhone 7 and it always connects/reconnects my iPhone while in the car. I was first told that it was because the doors didn't fit right, then I was told it was because of the cabin pressure and there is no way of fixing that issue, so you will have to learn to slam the door hard to get it closed. If the front door/doors or a window is open, the back doors will close with ease.but should all the doors and windows be closed, if you open the back doors and close it, you will need to slam the door hard in order for it to close all the way. The other thing to note is the cabin pressure when closing the back passenger doors. The two plastic molding strips on the roof started to come off (going down the highway with those flapping around isn't fun), the pins in the back to raise/lower the cargo cover went missing, the breaks in the cold/early morning hours are very sensitive at first. I purchased this SUV in February 2017 (so just a few months ago) and already I've had to take it in for repairs. The windshield wipers that came with the Trax were horrible so I have to change those out right away. I'm a single guy and don't … need much space as a vehicle goes, so this is perfect, but if you have a larger family or like to haul lots of items around this is not the SUV for you. It has two USB ports in the front, which is nice, but the space its in is pretty small so your phone or accessory might not fit and will have to find another solution. The seats are a bit small, especially if you're a bigger person, and this also makes the arm rest hard to use. I love the size of the 2017 Chevy Trax and some pretty nice features with OnStar.
